Citrix FIles / ShareFile Setup

Follow these instructions if you need to log into ShareFile to gain access to ShareFile desktop (Q: drive), or the Outlook plugin.

 

ShareFile Desktop (Q: Drive)

  1. Open the ShareFile program
    1. Either search for it in the programs folder, or open it from the mini icon near your clock

  2. If prompted, enter in 'adkfcpa' as the company name
  3. Enter in your Citrix ShareFile login information
  4. If entered correctly, you should see the 'Welcome to Citrix Files screen'.  

 

Notes:

You can easily upload and download files from Citrix Files using the Windows File Explorer and the Citrix Files drive. From the Citrix Files drive, you can expand it to view Shared Folders (see figure 2).  Under Shared Folders you will find any folders that have been shared with you, or you have created to share. When you add, delete, or modify a file from here, it will do the same for everyone who has access to that folder through Citrix Files.

Note: You can manage each folder by right-clicking on it. This is an easy way to send a request to the client to upload files into their shared folder.

 

 

Outlook Plugin

 

  1. Open Outlook to the 'Home' ribbon tab, click the ShareFile icon to log in
  2. If prompted, enter in 'adkfcpa' as the company name
  3. Enter in your Citrix ShareFile login information
  4. The ShareFile icon should now be colored in blue and say Options beneath it

 

Notes:

Use the options under the Citrix Files section, on the Message ribbon tab to attach or request files (see figure 1). Any files attached through ShareFile will be converted into a link that the recipient can click on to retrieve the file. From the ShareFile for Outlook Options you can set an expiration on the files/links. The default is 1 year, it is recommended to not change this.
