Enable the CCH Axcess plug-in for Office and Adobe products

Purpose

Show how to enable CCH Axcess plug-ins. Each plug-in allows for saving a file directly to Document.  The Outlook plug-in also allows the use of the ShareSafe secure file transfer tool.

Procedure

  1. Close the program which you plan to install the plug-in for
  2. Login to CCH Axcess Dashboard.
  3. Click on the ‘User Options’ in the left-hand panel.
    1. A new ‘User Options’ window will open.
  4. Click on ‘Plug-ins’ in the left-hand panel.
  5. Click ‘Install’ next to each plug-in you would like installed.
    1. After clicking ‘Install’ you will get a confirmation that the plug-in was installed.
    2. You may need to scroll to the right to see the install button.
  6. After installation, open the program you installed the plug-in for. The CCH Axcess plug-in should now be enabled.

 

Procedure 2

  1. Open the Office app missing the plugin
  2. Navigate to File > Options > Addins
  3. Set the Manage dropdown to COM Add-ins, click Go...
  4. Check ON Cch.Pfx.OfficeAddin.Core.[ProgramName]
  5. Click OK

 

A member of the IT Team must assist in the following steps, if the above does not work.

If the program you are looking for does not show up in step 5. from above, do this.

  1. Navigate to \\adkf-file1\install\Scripts\PowerShell
  2. Copy the ‘Fix Axcess Plugins showing in Options’ to the computers desktop
  3. Run the script as administrator
