How To Set Defaults For Apps

If your file opens in an unexpected program, use these instructions to fix that.

Start Menu > Settings > Apps > Defaults > Set Defaults By Apps

Select the App you'd like to change the default for and make the changes you require.

 

For example, if your PDF files are opening in Edge, do this!
 

  1. Start
  2. Settings
  3. Apps
  4. Default Apps
  5. Set Defaults By App
  6. Click Adobe Acrobat DC, then Manage
  7. Next to the PDF file type, click on the Edge Icon, then choose Adobe Acrobat DC
